For anyone considering public transport to Poynton, Northern Rail provides an hourly service between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent on Saturdays. Poynton Railway Station is just over a mile from the show venue, an instructional poster and some ‘take away’ maps will be placed in or near the booking office. The P1 bus service runs from Hazel Grove railway station to Poynton and Middlewood via Poynton railway station. The 392/393 bus service runs between Macclesfield and Stockport via Poynton

Northern rail services through Poynton NB. The timetables change on saturday night so links to both are shown below:

A variety of railway services/routes call at Hazel Grove, see the below link for further guidance:

Local taxis are: Lynx Taxis on 0161 480 5000 or 0161 483 1099 email: info@lynxtaxis.com You can also book online via http://www.lynxtaxis.uk/

If you are coming by car then there is plenty of parking at the show venue and on Yew Tree Lane (no parking restrictions in force). Dedicated disabled parking bays are provided adjacent to the venue. The leisure centre is sign posted (brown tourist signs) from the A523 in Poynton. Poynton is south of Manchester and lies on the A523 with good links to the A6 / M6 and M60. Visitors should avoid using the A6 between Manchester and Hazel Grove on Saturdays which is often congested. Poynton village is best approached from the North via M60 / A34 onto the ‘Manchester airport east link road’ then take the A5102 and A5149 to Poynton. Persons approaching from the South might use the M6 J17 approaching Poynton via Congleton A534 and Macclesfield A523, or the A52 from Derby to Macclesfield. Please note that some areas of Poynton are ‘shared space’, where vehicles should give way at pedestrian crossways.

Have a safe journey TMS.
